I am going to post about books. Because thats what i am into, and am able to do with some degree of goodness. :)
I have a first book too!
Richard Bauckham's Jesus and the Eyewitnesses, The Gospels as Eyewitness Testimony.
So, I will read it chapter by chapter, and comment on each one as I read it. Fantastic.
Here is an index of all the chapters that have been reviewed so far:
1) Chapter one: From the historical Jesus to the Jesus of testimony.
2) Chapter two: Papias on the eyewitnesses.
3) Chapter three: Names in the Gospel Traditions.
R) Bauckham interview.
4) Chapter Four: Palestinian Jewish Names.
5) Chapter Five: The Twelve
Dale,
ReplyDeleteI just replied to your mother's Facebook post:-) I live in the US (VA) and found we have much in common. I am from Scotland and teach Theology - she said you are studying classics and are an avid lover of Theology! How wonderful. My email is amcpherson@liberty.edu, where I am studying a PhD in Theology & Apologetics, and also an instructor in Theology (online prof) for the last 5 years.
Have a good night.
Sincerely,
Alistair McPherson
Hay Alistair, nice to meet you, sorry I have not been on here in ages! Just been busy with my studies and the like, but trying to find time to write stuff down and the like.
ReplyDeleteSo yeah, I am a Classics major (mostly studying Greek and Latin at the moment) I also do a little modern history when it works with my timetable.
What exactly are you doing your PhD in? Just as a matter of interest.
And how do you know My mother?
Peace,
Dale.
